[Update] Added ability to password protect sections of your websites...

by Administrator 25. March 2010 00:25

Perhaps you want to have a password protected section or page of your site that you want to provide special information. For example a lock box code for one of your houses, or maybe you want to charge a subscription for access for something.

Whatever the case, the easy way to do that is to just create a password and email it to your visitors using an autoresponder, or maybe provide them with the password on a redirect page after the submit a feedback form.

We added the ability for you to create a site wide password, and then be able to select specific pages within your site that are to be password protected.

Here is how you do that....

1) Edit your website settings and set a password that you want to use for the protection for any protected pages on that site. Also, check the box if you want your properties listings page to be password protected...

2) Then go and edit each content page that you want to have password protection on. Just check the box and save the page. Now, this page will require password to access, but ONLY on sites that have a password set.

So if you are using this page on two websites... and one website has a password set on the site settings and the other doesnt... then this page will ONLY require a password on the site that has the password setup.

Here is where you check that box on the content page settings...

Then, when you browse to your site, if you try to navigate to a page that requires a password it will prompt you to enter the site password...

That's it. Pretty simple, but could be a valuable resource if you needed it.

[Update] Added ability to enter page content below feedback forms on content pages...

by Administrator 25. March 2010 00:17

I just added the ability to add page content below the feedback form on any content pages.  This is so you can move your feedback form to any location on the page, either top, middle, or bottom.

Now you just enter any page content you want above the form in the standard page content area, and any content you want below the form in the new HTML editor area below the feedback form drop list on the content page settings.

[Update] Added a drop list to select form redirect locations...

by Administrator 25. March 2010 00:14

To make the process of redirecting a feedback form a bit easier, we added a drop list that you can select from to set the redirect page location...

So if you wanted to redirect the visitor to another one of your site pages, or a different site completely, you can just select that destination from the drop list and it will populate the text box with the correct redirect URL format.

This is typically used for squeeze page form redirection, or perhaps when you want to collect contact info before you redirect them to a free report, etc.

[Update] Added ability to group property listings...

by Administrator 25. March 2010 00:12

I added a new feature to the sites property listings pages so that now you can give your visitors the ability to select from a drop list to view properties that are in any particular category...

So if you have added any of your properties to a category in the property details when you added the property to your account, when a visitor visits this page they will see a drop list that will give them the ability to view the properties by a selected category.

This drop list will not be visible on the properties pages if a) none of your properties are in categories, or b) if you have selected to only show a category filter in the site settings for the selected site.

If you have any questions about this, or are having any trouble, submit a support email and we can help you with anything you need.
